Funding

You can apply for several grants and loans to fund your study abroad programs, which can help alleviate the financial strain associated with them

Australia

New Colombo Plan grants  - Many universities offer discipline-specific grants, such as internships and volunteer programs. The NCP aims to strengthen Australia's regional relationships through expanding individual, university, business, and other connections.

OS HELP loans - a loan for students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) who want to study some of their courses overseas. You can use it to pay for airfares, accommodation or other travel costs. You can get two OS-HELP loans over the duration of your degree but they can't be within the same six month period.

Program subsidies – some Learning Abroad offices and faculties have small grants that can be used to offset the costs of studying abroad. These grants and the eligibility for these will vary at different universities.

New Zealand

The Prime Minster’s Scholarships for Asia and Latin America are very generous grants that cover flights, a contribution towards internship fees, living, accommodation, visa and insurance costs.
