Environmental Science & Conservation

One of our longest-running programs, we are able to customize the program to fit the requirements, objectives, and budget of your respective faculty. Itineraries of past programs have included all of the below places of interest at some point.

This program provides students and staff with a variety of adventures that challenge their pre-existing notions of conservation and environmental sustainability in an Australian context.  Through exposure to, and discussion with Malaysians working in the field, students begin to understand the cultural, social, and economic factors that impact local communities and their interaction with the environment.

What students said

“This unit was pretty amazing. I think all the learning aspects and assessments were really well planned out and pretty spot on in tying in our experiences on the trip. The experiences on the trip were once in a lifetime, things I never expected to experience and will likely never forget.”

“This unit absolutely changes the way our cohort viewed environmental issues, their complexity, and Australia’s practices for dealing with them. It challenges a black-and-white view, promoting a necessity to truly understand issues and cultures to make a balanced, informed decision. This unit is invaluable, I would recommend any student to strive for this program.”
