Amnesty International Malaysia is a part of a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights. Interns work on project-based campaigns of local and international importance such as the abolition of the death penalty, freedom of the press and political activists, and human rights education. 10-12 weeks minimum duration.
Working to educate the growing number of refugee children in Malaysia the Fugee School provides a unique and rewarding opportunity for Interns, and is not limited to Education students. With a broad focus on academia and life skills for refugee students, this could amount to a life changing experience for Interns!
LAWYERS FOR LIBERTY
Lawyers for Liberty is a human rights and law reform NGO whose work is based on human rights issues surrounding the abuses done in the name of law. Interns will gain an understanding of local legal processes and dealing with the courts, police, Attorney-General’s Chambers and government ministries. Minimum 8 weeks.
