In multi discipline teams of 4, students work in a consulting team for a business located in either Penang or Kuala Lumpur

This program provides students not only with project experience in an international setting, it is also cross-disciplinary, giving students a taste of working in teams in a company environment. Students are placed in a range of companies from multi-nationals to SME’s to NGO’s.

Previous projects developed by the hosts include feasibility studies, development of marketing strategies and development of business plans.

Students also attend alumni networking functions where they practice their newly acquired networking skills and attend the Malaysian Australian Business Council (MABC) networking evenings where available.

Upon arrival students receive both cultural and business orientations to prepare them for their Internship, which provides an insight into differences in workplace etiquette and acceptable behaviours.

"Jan has coordinated the Malaysian Internship Practicum for our groups of 20+  students for the last four years.  Her attention to detail and extensive network of business associates ensured that the programs were a resounding success.  When the unexpected does happen, Jan sets to and solves the issues without fuss. Her personal touch makes the experience unique and rewarding for all concerned.  I look forward to working with Jan for our next program and have no hesitation in recommending her services to others."
